Forks Roadhouse - Petersville, Alaska (19 images)
One of the longest-operating roadhouses in Alaska burned to the ground April 5, 2012. The Forks Roadhouse in Petersville, Alaska was established in the early 1900s and was accessible only by snowmachine in winter. I visited there in Aug. 2005 to celebrate my 84 year old Uncle Leon Gathany's 30th trip to Alaska.
